Ladle Sand

A premium chrome-sand-based preparation that helps prevent ladle-gate leakage and aids the free opening of hot-metal casting ladles in metallurgical plants.

Used to cover hot-metal ladle nozzle slide-gates before the ladle is filled with molten metal, in casting plants such as ferro-alloy and steel works.

Forms a non-sintering barrier between the molten metal and the slide-gate that flows freely when the gate is opened.
